wireless problem

is my wireless connection supposed to disconnect when i close my screen. its kind of annyoing cuz i want to keep AIM on when i close my screen and i cant...

I think you need to set your Windows power management settings to NOT go into standby mode when you shut your LCD screen. You can set it to "do nothing" or just turn the screen off when you close the LCD lid.

No not meant to do that..... maybe you are having the common intel signal dropping issue... where if the signal quality drops below certain threshold the connection will disconnect.... esp as the antenna is based on the screen... closign the lid will lower its reception.

Make sure closing your screen doesn't relate to going into standby. Set AIM to "Automatically reconnect" so if you do get disconnected it'll reconnect.

Also, make sure that your HD doesn't turn off or the system doesn't go into standby. For the night, I just have a profile that turns off the screen but everything else stays on and I saved that as a "night" profile mode.
