Hi I just wondering whether or not , majority of notebook owner here are happy or not with the performance, build quality, reliabillity, etc of their current brand of notebook, and please state the reason also.
so i want to make a poll of it , so that people can see which brand gives the most user satisfactory product,
sorry about my broken english :P
And because i see that there are users that are not from USA, so i just include those brand thats available worldwide, cause it's very hard to get such as Averatec,ALIENWARE,or etc outdise the USA.
I'll Start here,
Mine is ASUS W1N:
-Pentium M Dothan 1.8G
-HDD Seagate Momentus 100G 5400 r.p.m.
-15'4" WXGA
-2X512 DDR Memory = 1 G DDR Memory
-Ati Radeon 9600 pro With Dedicated 64MB VRAM
-DVD/DVDRW
-Intel Centrino Wi-Fi B/G
-Built in TV Tuner
The Main reason I choose this notebook is because of the design which for me is simply the best notebook in the world, on par with Apple powerbook.
>Build Quality: 9/10 (Only downside is because there is no lock on the hinge, so if u put the notebook in a bag, becarefull not to put any keys or small things together with it , cause it may scratch the screen if the notebook opened accidentally. Other than that the mateial and the fit of the notebook, is fantastic.
>Performance: 8/10 ( My Previous notebook was a 1 G Celeron, so i definetlly feel the improvement here, and i for me it's quite fast , even to play some 3D games like the SIMS 2 occasionally, though i'm not a PC gamer)
>Reliability: 10/10 (never hang on me for even once, and so far so good, i've never have any problem with my beloved W1N.
>Screen: 7/10 (so-so only not as good as my Powerbook, but definetly better than my friend Toshiba M35 and A70. The AsusScreen is a litttle bit to dimm to my liking.
>Others: Batery life lastme for 2 DVD movie, about 3,5 hours, not a problem though, cause i useit mainly at home and connected to AC power.
A ittle bit on the heavy side, so it quite a burden to me if i have to lug it around with me with overseas trip.
>Overall: 9/10 (may not be the fasttest /lightest/ the best notebook out there, but i'll highly recommend it to everyone looking for a notebook that's have quite a performance, and striking minimalist design. The only downside is the price that's quite high compared to other brand with same spec.
