Hey all. The worst has happened. I was playing on party poker and was doing well. I won a hand and it was cool. My dad gave me a hearty slap on the back but unfortunately the gatorade I was drinking splased onto the screen. It would not have been bad but the gatorade went down into the keyboard area. I tryed to flip the laptop over to see if the gatorade would come out and a little did. Now I have a problem. My F3 key is messed up, it is a little sticky and i found that the F3 key is the hotkey for the search function. Now I whenever I am on my laptop the F3 key gets spammed and I can't open or use anything. I am not sure how to clean the key, I took the key off but I don't know what to do. Please help me out, I am completely lost. Thank you for your time guys.

I would not know what to do if removing the key causes it to still act jammed. You may need to contact sager or your reseller about obtaining a new keyboard. They cannot be too expensive. Someone else on the forums might have a better suggestion.

Edit: You could always try removing your keyboard and using an external one.

How took you the key off? By pulling its upper side? or lower one?
My problem is that I have a German keyboard, and wish to exchange some pairs
of keys, staying at the wrong place as compared to English keyboard.

Besides, a couple of hours ago the "E" key stopped to function suddenly,
with no evident reason. After half an hour it became working again, but
if this will happen again I would like to know, how one can extract the whole
keyboard to check eventually for loose and bad contacts.

Would You like to describe, please, how keyboard can be detached from the laptop?

I believe that the 4750 has a keyboard similiar to the 8790 (normal keyboard with numeric pad).

There are several "clips" located above the ESC, F6/F7, PrtSc, and Asterick (*) keys. Depress these tabls gently using a blunk objust like a "chop stick". THe keyboard will be released as the tabs are depressed sufficiently back to release it. By puching back,I mean - towards the LCD.

The keyboard is attached to the laptop with a ribbon cable that is plugged into a "header".

Good Luck.
