Internet Connect/ Adium problem

Just last night internet connect pops up everytime I turn on my computer or wake it up fom sleep and tries to dial, but since I have aol it oboviusly doesnt work. Also my Adium now gives me a "Gaim error" saying I have signed on too many times in too little time period although I just signed on for the first time. Does anyone know how to stop internet connect from connecting automatically and if its not that thats Adiums problem what to do about that? thanks, no problem at all with my apple until this..

Remove any dialing information you put into Internet Connect and see if that does anything.

As for Adium...reinstall?

Hmm, well, when you close the lid of your notebook, you lose your internet connection. That may be the problem.
