x64 audio issues..HELP!!

ok here goes...i was intalling winXP x64 professional edition..i installed the latest realtek 1.23 from the product site. still the sound card is not shown in "Sound and Audio devices" and i have like 20 to 30 "modem on high definition audio bus" in other devices section in device manager. needless to say winamp and wmp dont play any music also

i have installed the beta drivers available on the sager site for chipset,lan and modem. 5.7 catalyst modded for gfx card ,8.0.9 version of drivers for the touch pad. all this on a fresh install of windows xp pro x64.

is there any specific order to install the drivers? i installed them in this order

chipset,sound,video,lan,modem,touchpad

what could be the sin i did??

I just installed xp64 and am having the same problem. Did you figure out how to fix it?

no man..i am so irritated ..having a 64-bit proc and i cant use it to the full potential
