Driver for LCD

Thread Starter
Can someone who has a factory load tell me which driver AW uses for the 16.1" display? I can't seem to find the OEM, I thought someone mentioned Hitachi, but still I need a driver for it. The display does not come back from hibernation, or standby but all other components do.

Thanks in advance.

I am glad it's not just me then. I am trying to avoid calling tech support, they seem to know less than the guys at CompUsa.

16.1 - ATI - No HIB + other Vid issues -

Time -

Wonder if everyone with this combo is having the same problem. Would think AW would test Hib on the lap's before shipping them out. Anyway - if you find a solution please let me know.

I plan to call AW on Monday -

I don't have my lappy yet but if you look at another thread...yoda answered this very issue:

Had the same problem... it was the video driver.

apparently the drivers for the 9600 aren't quite finished, or stable.

So I used Omega's driver sets... no problems since then.

Well, save for a VPN issue that is irritating the hell outta me (causes my lappy to take 3 minutes to boot everything up). It's a Win XP thing...

I can't say this works or is true myself but it would seem that it is the ati drivers...

i haven't gotten my lappy yet either and getting an nvidia in it but either way think its prolly good once the anser comes that it be added to the faq as hibernation functionality is important. wonder if someone mentioned it on aw's forum?

Omega Drivers - Good so Far

Ok - I asked where the drivers were before actually looking for them ( have to excuse the fact I was posting to the forum with my Kyocera 735 palm phone ) Searched and found and installed the 2.4.96C drivers and everything appears to be working fine.

Note - I used the install program to extract the files - then I updated the driver manually - the self install would not work.
