LOL - am I the only one who sees the irony in the above comment?

Seriously dude - settle down. It's the comments of the Dell rep who you spoke to that we don't believe, ESPECIALLY since nvidia have made no announcements about a 7800go - don't take it so personally.

Sure, you're just letting us know what you were told - but really, do you believe absolutely everything you are told? Do some research of your own, and then if you can find some facts to back up his statement, maybe make a post about it.

But in the meantime, no need to take it to heart.

Yeah I would like to know if its for real, just think of the power that baby would give ya *drool*

What a bunch of knee-jerkers in here... are you all hiding your brains up your proverbials? Ever heard of Google?

The story is nearly 6 weeks old.

Value: G74M-Chip (Geforce 7200go) with 8 pipelines
Mainstream: G73M-Chip (Geforce 7600go) with 12 pipelines
High-end: G71M-Chip (Geforce 7800go) with 16 pipelines

SLI is possible with these notebook cards, but whether or not someone implements it is another story. And of course these will eventually be available.. and it is no surprise if they are beginning to appear in the databases of PC makers like Dell. We won't be able to buy one for a while yet, but in computer time that only means months.

The original article is in German:

Die GeForce Go – Grafikkarten werden in drei Preisklassen eingeteilt - „Value“ (GeForce Go 7200 – Serie), „Mainstream“ (GeForce Go 7600 – Serie) und „High-End“ (GeForce Go 7800 – Serie).

hello ! fourtionatly im able to speak german since im from austria lol, ok here we go, the most important facts:

- there will be SLI for those cards, theoretically if companies adjust their products, nvidia can only do that up to a certain point
- no sli for the 7200, which will be the low end class, kinda comparable like 9000er, 5200er fx etc
- the cards are using different hardware standart (MXM standarts), which means that the notebook-builder at clevo, dell etc dont have to change everything
- they also state that upgradebility is questionable, ( probably not possible to change our gf 6800er ultra to a 7800 go)

sry for my broken english, any questions, please ask im sure i can answer them if they are connected to my translation

Here is another news in German.

It consist of the same information like the one posted before
+
Releasedate: ~End of 2005

Don't you think it's possible that dell has some samples to design their new notebooks? I guess it will take some more months and Nvidia will release the chip before Dell offers it but I consider it to be possible that Dell is already testing...

But what I'm wondering about is that Dell Reps tell those information on the phone.

MXM wasn't a hit with anyone... I think Dell will continue to make their little AXIOM/MXM hybrid modules like the i9300/xps2 use. What I'm wondering is whether Dell plans on using the XPS 2 to launch the 7800 Go.
