Well, guys. I'm typing this on my new computer! I still have lots to set up, but one thing nearly set it's self up. I am currently tapped into someone's (I don't know whose) wireless connection.
I also have it set up with our home DSL, but I have to disconnect the home PC to use it. This monster does indeed get very warm, and the power brick is much better than I expected, but I knew what I was getting into and its a damn small price to pay. Their were some small scares, but so far nothing is affected. I'll give a more detailed report when I do a review. I do have two things that I haven't been able to find a purpose for. Could someone explain them to me? One is a cord with a stereo jack at one end and what looks like a very small transmitter or reciever at the other end. It may have fallen out of the Audigy box. The other thing is a grey box with a USB cord plugged into it and two small round jacks, maybe stereo, labled 1 and 2. It's black at one end and the brand is SMK. Surprisingly, I understand everything else. Good luck to you other folks getting your laptops today. Remember, it isn't broken, You just have to hold in the power button for a sec.
