Yeah, I remember taking a look at that. I guess I'm not the one to tell (havent opened mine up and I doubt ixiam is coming back ).

Thanks Icefluxx. Its frustrating to carefully do research, read service manuals, searching the net, bothering to link to details of facts, and then simply get one-line answers that they just dont "think" its correct, without any kind of reason.

To answer your question, the MDC slot is mainly for audio and/or modem solutions. The mini-PCI is a more generic slot, like fullsize pci slots, you can fit any kind of extended functionality, that dont need an external connector of course.

Actually Henrik, this is great info for the FAQ that I am trying to work on, but alas, without 1 each of every machine Sager makes, being specific is hella difficult to be pin point specific.
