My computer died

I was using my computer like any other day, then the screen suddenly went all black. I turned off my computer and tried turning it back on, but all i get is a black screen (the power light is on though). I have a Sager 4750, what could be wrong with my laptop?

You said the power light comes on. Do the fans kick in? Does the screen even flicker? You could try plugging in an external moniter to see if its a LCD failure.

The fans do kick in, but then they go silent and I don't hear my computer starting up as it normally should. I'm thinking its either the hard drive or the processor, but I don't know how to tell which one it is.

just tried the other monitor and nothing shows up =(

Even if the HDD went dead you would still be getting a post and the screen would come on (which means it may be something more sinister). I would give your reseller or sager a call on tech support. Sager gives you lifelong support so you might as well use it. Here's to an easy fix.
