700M, I was just shocked pretty good.

I placed the laptop on my lap, then I heard and felt a crackling. Electricity jumped from the underside fan to my skin. I haven't been shocked like this since I was a kid...

Anyone experience this?

Wow, that doesn't look good for your laptop. I would stay away from that laptop and return/exchange ASAP!! I've never been shocked by a laptop before.. Was it getting power from an outlet too? If so ,you're lucky it wasn't worse.

never happened to me either......

but are you legs working? you never know..

Yeah, I'd get that replaced fast. Electricity coming out of the bottom cannot be a good sign.

Yikes...another good reason not to put a laptop on your lap!

Are you sure it was electricity? Sometimes when I put the laptop on my bare lap, the hair from my legs gets trapped on the head screws and moving the laptop yanks the hair out. Ouch
