Anyone take the stupid left palm stickers off?

Thread Starter
I was just wondering if anyone has taken those stupid left palm stickers off and how hard it was. My stickers weren't even put on straight. I want to get rid of them but I don't want to ruin the finish.

Thanks,

Tim

I took mine off first thing.

Just take your time getting underneath the corner's of the stickers. That is likely where you would do the most damage if you weren't carefull. I.E. your nail digging into the finish.
Once your under the corner of the sticker just pull nice and slowely with an even amount of pull. You should be alright.

The MSFT sticker is a pretty stiff metal sticker, that one can be tricky to get under a corner, but with some patience, you should get it just fine.

I hear that using dental floss works very well. Someone posted that advice here for some other sticker or logo removal question. Give it a try.

it was for ferrari logo; msft=microsoft one?

The Microsoft metal sticker completely trashed the bezel or black frame around the screen on mine. Actually cut right into the plastic.
Currently Acer does not have these for replacement, I am really quite upset over this as it looks like hell.
And I used a special cloth from day one to avoid just such a thing.

Thats hard to emagine. Maybe you are violent with your laptop . Careful you must be to keep things nice, YES...... no mollestation via the sticker on mine. Hense the little rubber bumpers (no?).....

Anyway I left my stickers on there. I don't aspecially care for teh ATI and windows stickers but the Turion just adds the extra bad ass feel to it

My stickers are strait

Lets see....I collect cars for a living, I make handmade furniture like shaker/mission style complete with handcut dovetails, and prior to collecting cars (Porsche) I was a orthopedic surgeon (retired....young).
I'm careful

I removed all the stickers on my 8104 last night, along with a couple of fingernails. The hardest one (as mentioned above) is Microsoft's chromey lookin' one. After that, no problems. I usually keep them on there for the first while, so when my friends look at it the first time, they won't have to listen to me spout off all that's inside. I'm just trying to save time here. But after about 2 weeks, I just can't stand them anymore, and I remove them all.

Oh, be caruful when removing these stickers...all of the manufactorers has put a censor that if on removal, it slow down that products performance..like when I removed the "Intel Centiro" my wireless connectivity and som of my performance on the CPU dropped like 10% or so..

No, but kidding aside, have not tried the dental floss approach to removing then but one thing, so I put my cent in this discussion and this is appliable to removing other sticky "behinds" when removing stickers of course..but if there is any sticky left and instead of scraping, I always used a drop of olive oil or whar ever kind of oil I had near me and it removes a tad easier than scraping on it...and leaves behind a nice shine..

Another trick is when you get one of the stickers off, if there is any sticky stuff left behind use the sticker you just got off to pull the sticky stuff off.

Use hairdryer. I use hairdryier to remove any stickers from any material, and it works very very good. Just heat it up with hairdryer and slowly remove stickers. Works like a charm ( not sure about Aluminum sticker)

Great idea! Then in this case you could just use the notebook heavily (ie: gaming intensive), and then when the notebook is nice and warm, just pull those stickers right off. No hair dryer needed!

I like the sticker, Ferrari looks a little plain without them. Though I would trade in my AMD Turion sticker for a Intel Centrino Sticker. Intel does have a nicer looking Branding.

I am very thankful the Ferrari 4000 does not come with those huge ugly stickers that list the Specifications and features as if I didn't already know.

yes, these specification-stickers are extremly ugly ...
