Pat.
I wanted to post Jenry's questions he has concerning the Fan Firmware and BIOS update posted in the Sager forums. This is the fan firmware that allows you to turn your fans on full blast or leave them in automatic cycling mode. The post is here and Jenry's response is half-way down the 4th page. However, I have included it here for easier access.

My assumptions are that he should not have any problems, but I don't want to recommend something that may, in the end, mess up his system and force you to fix it.
Thanks.
Charles.

I have one Hypersonic Aviator EX7 I get it in january so it is one of the frist, It is one of those with the 84xxxxxxxxxxx serial number and with the geforce 6800 go GDDr2 videocard... so the big question is did you know if is there is any problem if I use the new bios 1.005 the label under the unit say that the model number is D9t. System specs: Hypersonic Aviator EX7 P4 3.8 Ghz 32bits 2Gb Ram Geforce 6800 Go GDDR2 1680x1024 glossy screen 17" 60Gb 7200RPM HD TV tunner 4xDVD+-RW DL DVD/CDRW Combo Unit Windows XP ... In the hypersonic drivers webpage is listed the 1.004 version. what is diferent with the 1.001b the 1.004 and the 1.005 version wich one do you recomend? ![]() Is there any diference from using the Fn+F2 key and change the fan option in the bios or both of them make the same? And the big big question: ![]() At this time my fans are on all the time any stuck problem with them, And they go on when I turn the machine on and the go to top speed when the computer is in heavy use and go to low speed when it is at low usage like at this moment when I am surfing the web...I like that way for all the time but when I play some games or when I work with software like powerpoint, coreldraw, or adobe creative suite at work I will like to put the fans at full speed to cool the machine... ![]() So if I upgrade to this new combination of frimware and bios and I want to have the fans runing all the time at full speed I can? What Will I need to do that? And if I want to have the fans runing normal at low speed and go to full speed if the computer temp go up, but I dont want the fans to stop at any time, I mean A config like the one I have now, can I have it with the version? something like continues fan running but with automatic speed with temp sense? is that posible to? what will I need to have that config? |
