hi all..i have already posted a topic but maybe now i will tell more..screen = beautifull, hdd=no clicking overall built quality - exelent. But i think that there is something wrong with Video card i have played two games: Doom3 and HL2. Besides FPS i have a very strange "deffect" when i moving from left to right i see something like lag with background when it changing position. Ehh if you know what i talking about you know what i mean.. but for example when i stay close to wall and make a strafe from left to the right and from right to the left one part of wall go good but second part is sliding to the other part ..I dont know how to explain that..but when i check a Wait for vertical sync option i dont have that problem but and object moving is good but this option decrease my FPS When its enabled in HL2 for example and i playing it on native resolution 1920:1200 all high simple reflections, AAx4 and Anisotropic x8 i have something between 20 and 30 fps... when V sync is disabled i get something between 25 and 40 but i have that fckn "sliding"! by the way...When i turn off AA and make a Trilinear Filtering and have V sync enabled i have 35-45 fps. i updated drivers to officials Nvidia 77 blabla series (the newest officials btw..) and OCed my Vid Card to 320/700 and my results was 5 fps increase..i havent make a fresh instal reformat etc but maybe i should do that?holly Jesus guys help me!im really frustrated!what da **** is going on! i payed some money for that machine and i want it to work perfectly! please look at my problem..it is very necessary to me.. i guess it isnt a hardware issue because i'm leaving usa on saturday and cant wait for replaces or something..ahh GOD!! just tell me what do you think...answer me fast because time killing me...
My specs are

Try downloading and installing the lastest XtremeG drivers from www.tweaksrus.com.

also note that AA is not needed really for such a high resolution, I have the WXGA+ screen and at 1440X900 I do not need to use AA at all, it is more than sharp enough. Its all personal preference I guess, but AA is a killer at higher resolutions, even with that kickass card.

With vsync disabled you will get screen tearing and even though you can gain some slight fps increase some poeple really do not like the tearing that much. (Screen shifts but looks like part of it doesnt move for a second and the other part does type of tearing).

just keep vsync on and you won't get the splitting.

Yeah, isn't AA with a 1920x1200 resolution kind of unnecessary?

Anyways, you can leave VSync on, because that will just cap your frames per second at 60fps. The reason that your fps count drops is presumably because for those times where it would go above 60fps (say, to 70-80fps), it now is stuck at a maximum of 60fps, so when it drops down later, the AVERAGE framerate also drops to lower than what it would ordinarily be.

uhh guys i love ya..i just thinked that it is an hardware issue but i see it is normal?ahh ok ..that strange effect is normal with vsync disabled ..i'm so happy then..but now my fps. When i playing on battery and powermizer settings are maximum performance my fps is much worse than on AC. Is it normal? and another thing now..i noticed the most comfortable playing on 1440 x 900 with anisotropic filtering x8 , vsync enabled and AA x2 or turned off. Then i have something between 50 and 60 fps and sometimes when i stay close to some action (fogs alot of monsters etc) fps drops to 30. Is it normal?and is these settings good for my setup?i mean..they could be better or not? i just want to nitice that i have a 77,76 nvidia drivers with pieter's modified inf my image setting is High Performance and i haven't OCed my video card but i tried one time and it gives me 5 fps more maybe..hmm maybe its just me or maybe it is normal..i have heard and read great comments about 9300 so you know..any droping fps any deffects or something is killing me..but if that what i wrote is normal just tell it to me and i will be very happy with my new pc monster maybe i require more from my pc that it can do..ehh whatever..answer my questions please and tell me how to have the best gaqming experience with that machine( your drivers propositions, vid card/game settings and of course stable, safe OC) i wll be really happy about that. Thank You and i still waiting for ya answers
