I've got the Audigy 2, but the sound is very quiet, even when i crank it to max volume, like 1/3 of the normal volume with the software driver. Any ideas?

Audigy 2 ZS too quiet on laptop speakers
Another question. When i watch my Family Guy or Futurama episodes late at night with headphones next to my wife in bed, the lowest volume setting is actually still to loud. Is there any program that gives you more control over the volume than the standard windows control?
Yikes, too loud on headphones, too soft on laptop speakers. I should keep it plugged into my 5.1 speakers year round.

o to the sound control panel then click advanced to bring up the volume control panel then in the volume control panel go to options --> properties, then on mixer device click thed rop down and select Sigmatel, then click ok and turn up the volume settings on the sigmatel, because the audigy 2 zx feeds sound through your sigmatel to your laptop speakers both the volume of the audigy and sigmatel change the volume
