Ferrari 4005 RAM UpGrade

OK....
I do love this machine, and it have exceeded my expectations by far.
However I do want to get the most out of my Ferrari as possible, so my question is, should I upgrade to 2 Corsair pc3200 1GB sticks?
I play games, surf, word process, music, all at the same time. I have not had any issues with 1 GB, but like I said, I want to get the most out of this puppy as possible. Oh yeah, it will cost $400 from newegg so keep the cost aspect in mind.

Thanks, anxious to hear from those who actually did upgrade, and what results they achieved.

See the Ferrari 4000 accessories/upgrades thread ... for a nice discussion of memory upgrades ... including supported speeds ... extra...

I think there is a thread specifically about this as well.

That thread deals with whether you can get 400mhz ram to work at 400 mhz.
It does not answer the question I asked. Do you notice a performance increase using 2 GB of RAM. And if so, where do you notice the increase.
M'K?

Fair enough. If you look in that thread the 166MHz #s corresp to 1GB as well (I believe they were comparable to the 2GB 200MHz #s). Thus, I didn't really see an increase in those tests in going to 2GB.

Alright. Well I guess I will wait.
If Acer comes out with a bios update that will support the 400mhz then will be the time to buy.

You might bug them about getting that bios update out. The more of us that pester them, the more likely they will be to work on it.

Could a bios update lead to 4mb or is that solely a hardware issue?

Has there been much consideration of a Ferrari 4005 and 1gb with Vista?
