windows 64 bit upgrade ?

i have a acer ferrari 4005 just got it a month ago, and i heard acer will send me a windows 64 bit cd upgrade ?

where can i get this cd ?

what site etc etc information i need ?

i want 64 bit windows, as i already have 64 bit linux.

otherwise you can buy a retail-version of x64 - using the drivers provided from acer it works fine ...

Well, unfortunately, the 32-bit XP exchange program for 64-bit XP has ended.
The cut off date was July 31st.

You're pretty much stuck buying a retail or OEM version.

OEM versions require a core hardware component purchase though. I.E. hard drive, CPU, stuff like that.
I'm not sure if you can find a online retailer that will sell an OEM version without hardware, they're not supposed to.

A search on PriceWatch.com showed prices from $124. Most are OEM though.

all xp64 are OEM for the moment.
