Disassembling power brick?

My power brick (Inspiron 5100) is starting to fall apart. At the strain relief on the attached small cord side, the cord is pulling out and if it gets pulled on, it loses contact. I was hoping to pull the thing apart and resolder the wire and maybe fix the strain relief somehow. I can't figure out how it comes apart, though. I pulled off the neoprene "feet" that are glued underneath and there are no screws under there. Is it possible to get this thing apart?

Thanks.

It probably just snaps together. I am no expert on the device tho. But just from looking at mine it looks like there would just be plastic clips holding it together.

I mess around with power supplies at my work. Most consumer styles are glued together, good luck pulling it apart.

I have, however, cut the plastic case apart (Unplug first for god sake) with a rotary tool, resoldered the connections and then re-glued the case. You take your life in your hands whenever you do something like this but if you are carefull, you can do it.

or... shop around ebay and considering doing it the safe way for a relatively inexpensive powersupply

Yeah, I figured it was glued. I ended up doing it the old fashioned way with a random piece of plastic and a bunch of duct tape - just taped the wire in a direction where it works.

Thanks for the ideas though.
