I ordered mine a couple of days ago and cant wait to see the specs on it....and i cant stand waiting when its so close to be shipped..
P4 EMT64 3.2ghz
2gig Ram, 6800ultra, 1-100gig sata hd, dvd lightscribe, etc

will post bench marks when it arrives in the next couple of days...

by the way if you look at the reviews section in sager notebooks you can see some of the benchmarks the 9880 is capable of.

I received my 9880 earlier this week (Monday), and it's almost the same config as yours. My P4 is the 640 (3.2 GHz), the dual SATA's are in RAID 0, and are the 80 GB versions. No Bluetooth on my wireless card. 3DMark05 consistently hits 5060 +/- 10, using all stock drivers, and no devices overclocked.

Cool. So would 5000 be a good 3d mark 05 score? Also I hear the GO 6800 ultra is equel to the Regular 6800 ultra, is that true? Also does anyone know of good drivers?

Right now I have a desktop thats 2 years old. Its a gateway It have a Nvidia 5200, 1.75 GB RAM, a P4 3.0GHz Cpu, and a 120 GB and a 250 GB HD. I got a 5441 score on 3dMark2001SE. It gets between 0 and 5 FPS on 3dMark 03-05 so i have not completed those.

Also are P4s better than P M cpus? Not including battery life? Good luck everyone with your new Notebooks!

ps. I just called Sager, its being shiped out today! Also They said the Video Card and CPU ARE UPGRADABLE in the future. The CPU will have to be the same socket though. This is good news!

Finally got my package yesterday and the laptop looks great the setup is nice but what caught my eye the most was actually how big this thing really was wow....well i tested it with 3d mark 05 on all stock settings and the core speed and clock speed were 450/1080 and my score was 5061....which seems average for stock that ive seen in the forums.....

I'm trying to order a laptop for my son who plays Star Wars Galaxies.
I was wondering why you chose the 9880 instead of the 9890 that you can pre order tomorrow?

Is there that much of a difference in price or performance with these two laptops? The 9880 won't overheat while he's playing SWG will it? He plays for hours on weekends!

I'd wait for the 9890 - it's just the "newer" model. Also will have the newer motherboard.
