Cracking hinge, should I return?

Thread Starter
Hello everyone. I've had my M6810 for about 2 weeks now and just noticed this cracking hinge. Kind of hard to see it in the pic, but this is the best I could do. I'm thinking about returning it and wondering about the policy regarding eMachine's with cracked hinges as its a common problem. I bought it through tigerdirect.com about 2 weeks ago and I think I have a 1 month warranty with them, and a 3 month with eMachines. Is it possible to just return it for cash back or do I have to try and get it fixed before they'll let me return or what? Please help me out, I don't mind being without a lappy for a while. Thanks

If it is (and it is) 'Kind of hard to see it in the pic' why bother with the picture? Read the sticky or the hundreds of other posts about the hinge and decide for yourself.

No need to be an a$$. He's just asking a question which is what this forum is for. If you don't like it, ignore it.

Cyric39, emachines will just fix the hinge. Not sure if tigerdirect will give you a refund but you can just call and ask them. You might be able to get a credit towards a different notebook.
