TV Tuner that supports consoles

Hey,

My XPS2 is in boxing and will hopefully be arriving (relatively) soon. I opted to get it with XP pro instead of MCE w/ TV Tuner. However, I would like to pick up a TV tuner that has small enough delay times to plug in consoles (PS2, maybe XBox) and play on the laptop monitor. Any suggestions? Do most of the best TV Tuners require XP MCE now?

Ive searched and so far no tv tuner (USB2) will provide latency free console play. By far the closest ive come is the ATI Tv tuner they sell at atis website (which requires an external powersource!) beyond that im told those PCMICIA tv tuner cards work but since ive lost all intrest in finding out now you will have to pioneer the front if your brave enough. and no tv tuners do not require Media Center Edition to use them unless the card states otherwise.

Run a search on the topic and you will find all sorts of good links I did regarding the issue on mainly PS2 and Gamecube practically nothing for Xbox though only because theres already a great solution available for the xbox happy hunting.

I have that newer ATI USB2 TV Tuner, and there is definately a half a second to one second lag when I play my PS2 on it. It irks me to death and I can't play it like that...especially in any sort of fast paced games. If anyone else knows a good lag-free card, do us all a favor and let us in on it.

I have the AverTV Cardbus and it works well for videogames. Not much lag. I was playing Forza Motorsport on it and did well. I suggest you getting an S-cable for the consoles since it improves the image quality by a lot. The price was $75 for it at newegg.
