Well, after waiting for 3 days, finally my new iBook arrived yesterday afternoon, have a bit play around with it, as I'm a totally new Mac user, and so far, I've got a good impressions on the stability of the O/S itself... I should use apple since lasttime....

Anyway folks, here're couple of pics to share, side by side with my Fujitsu T70J

Cool! Nice pics (except the last 3 have some focus/lighting issues [sorry; after effects of intense research/shopping for digital cameras for ~4 weeks])

Btw, for you iBook users out there: do you find the touchpad and its button to be very easy to use? Cause I just had a bad experience today with a display unit 14" iBook (pre-refresh). The buttom was too loud and clicky and felt a bit too loose, and I was having trouble getting the touchpad to track with precision.

YES, iBook totally awesome.... can't complaint at all....

For touchpad, as I'm not a big fan of touchpad, I just plug my cheap usb mouse there and it's working great including the right button click.

Sorry for the photo quality..... I will work harder to get it right nexttime

Lol, np. It's just that I think I've become a bit of a digital photography enthusiast. (I've looked at so many sample photos from different digital cameras that I almost went insane. Well, if looking around outdoors and watching TV while constantly evaluating image quality and lighting levels qualifies as going insane, then... Thankfully, I don't do that anymore.)

I just got my new iBook last week also. I love it. I too don't really like the touchpad/button. I just plug in a mouse.

Oh yeah...how do you like that new Mighty Mouse Apple just released. They finally dropped the one click concept.

i use sidetrack for setting up various corner functions. the stock drivers however also allow u to tap and click on the touchpad, u just need to set it up. u also may want to tweak the acceleration of the cursor/touchpad in the system preferences. w/ sidetrack i have the lower right corner setup to be my right click. i rarely use the actual trackpad button, and usually just use the touchpad to do my clicking.

also, be mindful of the differences in the OS. with windows u can click on any function within a window in the background and it will activate. in OS X u can click on the "stoplight" buttons (minimize, etc) on the top left of each window if the window is layered in the background, but for anything else u will need to click on the window to activate it before any of the buttons/links within the window will become activate. this is to insure that u don't accidentally click on things u don't intend to. in sum, with those instances, u aren't missing your clicks, you're just following the structure of the OS.

Not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but if you have your iBook's brightness on the lowest setting (the pip just before you turn the backlight off) and if you sit facing a lightsource (say, the sun, lol) you can see the outline of the apple, where light comes through the logo on the lid and onto the screen?
