So I just got a Lenovo Yoga 13. This is my review.
As what I primarily do is writing and programming, having a good keyboard is critical for me, which is why a tablet alone can’t work for me, and...
I have owned dozens of laptops in a variety of brands, and had many different laptops provided for my use at work. Without question, this is the finest I have owned. The Alienware M17x R2 is a...

One of the longest and most enduring brands in computers is Thinkpad. Originally developed by IBM in the USA, Thinkpad notebook computers are now...
I see no need to get more than a 3 year warranty for a notebook that will be outclassed in 2 years. My PIII was top of the line 3 years ago and now it is a model T.
It is kind of pointless to warranty something that drops in value so fast. The only thing that has ever broken on the laptop's I have owned for the past 10 years are hard drives, and I prefer to upgrade rather than to replace with those anyways. Actually the hard drive in the powerbook 1400cs I own is still going..
One-year warranty. I'll probably end up buying whatever new laptop Dell releases next year, so why spend 100+ (though I do wish I received accidental coverage).
I just got 1 year mail in and accidental damage. I'm taking it to trashcanistan with me and I consider it disposable, if it makes it home with me great, if not I'm sure I'll get my money's worth out of it. My HP that I took to Iraq with me actually made it home in one piece, but it is beat to holy hell. Now I just use it as a data logger for my truck.
On my sons 6000 for college we got the 2 year plus complete care. I had a 3 year when I got my 8100 a few years back and in the first two years I had to have the motherboard replaced three times. Glad I had the longer warranty.
4 year at home service. Why? I plan of selling it in about a year or so and the extra warranty would make the sale sweeter. Then I'll buy whatever the next great laptop is...
bringing this to DJ gigs worries me so I wanted the accidental damage... and in case in 3 years it just happens to slide off the top of my desk... oops
