4 YR at home, 4 YR accidental..I got an excellent deal so why not, and besides, I'll be selling it to upgrade next year, so it can help the resale value.

2Yr Ltd Warranty, 2Yr At-Home Service, and 2Yr Technical Support + 2 Yr CompleteCare

God Bless the 40% off coupon...

2 yr At-home service. Always seem to trade up before the end of two years or so. Would definitely have purchased the complete care program, but Dell doesn't sell it to Florida consumers.

3yr @ Home Didnt want to pay for the 4th year. I expect to replace it after 3yrs anyway.

I got the 1yr with mail-in. If it's gonna break, it'll be in the first year. Also, I would like to be the one who fixes it, so I'll have them send me the part .

1 year mail-in and 1 year technical support.

I have 4 year complete care warranty, I bought via EPP plan and got upgrade from 3 to 4 years in complete care without price change because of rebate.
So my laptop is bound to have an accident that could be irrepairable in about 3 1/2 years time, what you all think ?

4 year return to depot warranty. I found with my previos laptop the warrany made it easier to sell. That laptop also had a motherboard that failed.

Because I am a consultant and I travel frequently with it - I don't want to worry if I have any problems with it and I typically use my laptop for 3 years and then pass it on to someone else in the family and it gives them a piece of mind.

My last laptop was a DELL Inspiron 8200 (which i still think is one of the best laptops that DELL made) which had better docking options and multiple device support.

3 year return-to-depot service w/ CompleteCare (Dell Canada)
I downgraded my CPU and stuff with my CSR, got some accessories, and upgraded to CompleteCare while saving some money.

I got the 1 year standard also.

figure if i sell it in a yr, i'll get a better price, if i keep it then i'm covered... win/win

plus i've dropped my notebooks before, so that accidental looks very, very cheap...

i've heard that you can as long as your current warranty is still in effect...

btw, the accidental is great for "unexpected" events... had a friend who's cat was attracted to his screensaver... those claws dug right in... he didn't have accidental... really felt sorry for the guy but was pinchin' myself tryin' not to laugh my ass off lol

One year mail in, I can fix the beastie myself and besides, at home service means they send some third party over who moonlights as a pizza driver.
