Has anyone here ordered their computer through AW's corporate sales?

I have been trying to set up a corporate account with Alienware. We have one here with Dell and I figured there could be some added benefits with setting one up with Alienware since we may be purchasing a few of their machines for one of our departments.
Unfortunately, there is only ONE person in the entire corporate sales department at Alienware, and I have been trying for a week to get ahold of him. When you call that department, the voicemail for that position is for someone that was fired a month ago. After subequent phonecalls with other people there, I was told this. I have emailed, called and left messages with numerous other people, yet I still have not recieved a response from this person.
Im curious if anyone else here has tried dealing with AW's corporate sales department.
If it were not for their appealing computers and Dell's lowlife salesmen, I would not be bothering with this. Also, has anyone here dealt with anyone there that speaks understandable english? Quite a few of them seem to be from Costa Rica and are difficult to understand.

Why would any self respecting corporation want to make an account with Alienware. As a business person, i would never work with any company that uses laptops with flashing alien heads..... its just not professional at all...

Because they are discounted through the corporate program, if you see what I am getting at here.
Just because you do not like them, does not mean that they may not be desirable to others.

Ease up. Maybe others don't care about your "professional opinion".

I like AW's appearance....it's unique, and I've heard many compliments on the unit. I've seen some really ugly looking laptops in my profession over the years. It's the quality of work that's DONE on them that matters most.

I work for the third largest corperation in the world, most days I wear a suit and tie, and I have a flashing Alienware head on my laptop

In fact in large presentations I find it a fun ice breaker! I am not sure that your definition of "professional" is quite on the mark.

The quality of work is not what a client or business man sees. They see a cheezy looking head with flashing eyes blinking at them. My "idea" of professionalism is not some odd singular idea. AW's look is fine for a student, kid, or home use. But not in the business world. If you cant see that, im sorry.

It's you that can't see past it. It's painfully clear that you do not work in the environment that your attempting to speak about. In fact I am not even the only employee with the flashing eyes.

I frequently close large deals with my flashing AW on the table. In fact most executives see that you have the confidence to bring something different to the table, without fear of ridicule.

It would seem that you have some growing up to do yet. Once you work in the corperate world for a while you may then begin to understand thats it's not all basic black Dell's and HP EVO's. Some of us with a falir for creativity choose to have something different.

I do work in the corporate world. We are fine with creativity, but childishness is not needed. This world is about business and looking good. A silly flashing head is not that. I cant imagine what business man would be ok with looking stupid...

Daniel, maybe some day when your old enough you will understand. No one I work with minds it at all, in fact like I said most people find it fascinating, others think its a really neat accent to the notebook.

I guess your opinions come from some pent up repression towards having fun and being relaxed. I hope someday you can get over this and have some fun instead of seeing the neagitive in everything.

Psycologist, i assume?

Listen.. this is not pent up anger, or repressed hate. I love having fun; anybody who knows me knows that. But my fun, and the business world, do not generally meet. This is not something that would normally go together. There are times to be serious, and there are times you are expected to be serious. Business falls into that category, and i can tell you, that a flashing alien head, is neither of those. As i client, i would expect the people working for me, to be concerned about my business, not having a distracting laptop. I wouldnt want to have something like that flashing at me, while im talking to my broker, lawer, or any other professional. To me, they arent professional then.

it is cool that your business accpets that; but keep in mind, you are a "lucky" one. Out there, the rest of the world wont accept it, and that is why they do go with Dells, IBMs, etc.

Thats just it, I am in front of other customers daily. Large compaines fortune 100 and down the line. No one has stated anything negative. It has not detered any business at all, in fact when I tell my clients the specs involved they generally want one of their own.

In fact last month I visted a financial company in Hong Kong, and just the other day the client emailed me that he had ordered one of his own. Thats officaly a cross culture acceptance at that point.

I don't think I could exist in the dull non creative environment that you speak of.

Well, i dont want to be causing problems, so i will back off. Maybe you are right, and maybe the world i am in really ISNT the world past my state. I am sorry to have offended or ruffeled feathers...

BTW.. i am sure this is a dumb question, but how did u know my name? *if i told you before, blame my faulty memory*

I know your name and address, if you would like. Some of the systems that I install and design are capabale of gathering information on anyone that crosses my connection.

I won't post it unless you ask, but the weather is generally nice in your part of the country.

Oh, i know nothing online is private. I am sure if you needed to, you could find what webites i go too (of course, so can google ).

Though, out of curiousity, what adrress do you have? #s will suffice.

Anyway, no hard feelings? If nothing else, blame the a*hole lawers i work with...

Is 1215 out of date? Sometimes my databases are out a bit, unless we run a cross reference with a credit agency or such, but thats an extended search.

This is a new product I am designing for an advertising customer, BTW.

No hard feelings of course.

Wow... no, not out of date.

Just for sh*ts and giggles, PM me with everything it shows.. you have picked my curiosity.
