hello peeps

with the excellent news of the release of 4780 i have come up with a question or two or ten. anyway when i compared both lappys with the EXACT same config ( 3.2, 1 gig ram, dvdrw, wireless) i got 5680 at $2449 and 4780 at $2410.

so the question is, why should i go with 5680 now? i can have a 17" lappy with same specs for 50 bux less, i mean wtf???? how much can the res matter here? what am i losing???

any input is thanked in advance

p.s I LOVE U PCTORQUE MARRY ME

The main differences I see people using for their decision between the two:

5680:
-Dual channel RAM
-UXGA LCD option
-Hot swap/quick release bay that holds either a 2nd hard drive, 2nd battery, or 2nd media drive.

4780:
-17" wide screen LCD
-4 speaker + subwoofer
-Full keyboard with number pad
-Internal TV Tuner with remote
-Built in camera

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO the only thing that matters to me with those changes is the dual channel memory, WHYYYYYYYY.

thanks adam for a fast reply

pain of choosing one or other is going to land me in a mental institution

No dual channel memory on the 4780 is the deal breaker. Otherwise that setup is badass, 17" lcd....tv tuner...cam...

oh come on man, how much difference does dual ram make , the cpu is 3.2 and ram is stil l1 gig 400....... will it matter that much for gaming? in mean a camera, speakers and tv tuner seems worth it
