But I guess you'd have to sacrifice mobility for that performance upgrade. That warranty is brutally expensive, I'm glad I don't have to pay for that.
I guess it's too late, but I actually wouldn't recommend getting the dell printers. They are rebranded lexmarks, and from what I've read, lexmarks aren't that great. I'd actually go for a canon or low end HP. HP wastes the least amount of ink "cleaning" the heads on startup and have an excellent, ink saving draft mode. They also have very good print quality and aren't expensive, especially when refurbished!
yeah, that's with tax. I had originally priced a system under 2 grand, but that was going with 512 RAM and the regular 6000. The RAM upgraed and the warrenty really rape the price; but liek I said, my parents wanted to take the safe road, which unfortuantely costs a lot of money.
I talked to my mom this morning after configuring a 6000d under their new deals, and it came up to $50 cheaper after tax...thats with a better processor, 20gig smaller hd, and no printer. I would gladly take the cpu upgrade with a 60gig hd over the less powerful cpu with an 80gig hd, but I'm not sure how Dell deals with cancellations, and whether I'd have to pay a cancellation fee, which really wouldn't make the switch worth it.
Either way, I'm quite pissed yet again. I've recieved the first confirmation email (2 days ago), but have yet to recieve the email with a tracking #...looks like I'll have to spend lots of time on the phone with customer care =/.
