Seeking Advice (9880?)

Hello..
i was hoping i could get some other viewpoints to help me decide what to do.
I have just purchased a 9880...
within a day the hard drives (2x100gb) were not being recognised.
i contacted pctorque & Sager who told me to do a re-install of sata drivers and xp etc....
things seemed fine for another day or so then, lines and dots all over the screen on bootup eventually hanging on black screen.
sent pics of problem to sager who diagnosed a faulty graphics card (nvidia quadrofxGo1400) they replaced the card and after a couple of hours same issue again lines & dots..(this time with an intermittent blue screen error highlighting either the hardware or nv_disp.dll as the error??!!

sager then suggested that new layer of thermal paste on installation of card could be the problem - this still did not solve the problem.

i have now returned the laptop to sager and am in the process of seeking a refund....but actually dont know whether to ask for a replacement. The problem is i really need something of this spec (portable) for work. But am afraid to get the laptop replaced in case i just get a further catalogue of errors...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated
(I have to say that sager have only been helpful throughout - i just really need to have faith in the laptop as i intend on using it to support corporate conferences etc. and cant afford it to be as unstable)

regards

New One

I would say just order a new one. Maybe you got a lemon. There's no additional cost to you to order a new one (or, if so, it's small) as opposed to sticking with the first one. The only caveat I'd put to that is the display. If you got a perfect display, and if that's important to you, you might consider having them work on the first one so you know you'll get the perfect display back.
