Exclamation Clean Install of XP PRO on S460 issues (Audio)

I formatted my C:Windows partition and did a clean Install of my custom Windows XP pro with latest hotfixes. However, all the other drivers install fine except when I try installing the audio drivers for the RealTek HD Audio. It says in the installation process that the Windows System Bus drivers are missing during installation. I've gone almost everywhere on the internet looking for a solution. I got the windows UAA hotfixes, latest REALTEK HD drivers,Intel HD audio drivers, etc. but none of that seems to work. For right now i'm on the standard windows xp home that came with my recovery partition. I would really like to make a clean install of XP pro on my s460 and get everything working the way it should be without having to rely on the recovery partition. Can someone please help me? I assume that since this section of the forum is dedicated to sony notebooks that I may be able to recieve help from someone who has experienced this very same issue.

Yes I did

I followed that guide on doing a fresh installation of windows, and it yielded no successful results. If you can, please point out exactly how you went about installing Windows XP Professional on your system. As i mentioned, I looked at the sony installation guide and it was not successful.

Check my post in the Sony general forums...in particular the dependencies and order. Not too sure it will help though. gluck

No can do

None of those guides helped. I always get a "No system bus drivers found when attempting to install the sony vaio audio drivers." I've tried the other official drivers from RealTEK and have obtained the Microsoft UAA, and Intel HD AUDIO fixes as well. None of that works. Remember, I'm attempting to install a brand new fresh install of windows XP Professional without having to rely on the recovery partition or discs that contains Windows XP home edition. The audio only works on my vaio when I install windows Xp home from the recovery paritition or recovery discs. LoL I just want to install my damn windows xp pro, not home.

Please help me anyone. If you were successful in formatting your c: partition and installing a fresh copy of windows xp pro, then successfully managed to install every necessary driver on your S460, then please let me know. And if and when you do, please state the exact order in which you succeeded. I would really appreciate anyone's help.

I bought a S460P/B yesterday, and have reformatted with an XP Pro Corp disk (I tried using sony's recovery disk set but it was still giving me a few random issues after installing)

I have so far installed the intel 2200b/g wifi, intel chipset, realtek audio, and nvidia 77.80 drivers, and in that order. I downloaded the audio driver named REDAUD-00825205-US.EXE from sony.com, and it is working fine (but took a couple reboots for the volume icon to show up in the taskbar...) also I haven't done any hotfixes yet, or even enabled Automatic updates, the windows xp pro disk had SP2 slipstreamed into it but that was all..

Hopefully this helps! It seems like an issue that shouldn't really be occuring...
