*** Acer Aspire 5510 [ATI 256MB X700] ***

Pretty nice looking notebook with a built in digital TV Tuner. Ferrari 4000 definitely kill it in the looks and design department. I do like though the intergrated TV Tuner. Though None of Acer Notebooks that feature this have shown up in the US yet. Very Good Specifications besides the lack of 1GB RAM but that is easily User Upgradable.

This is probably going to cost more than the Ferrari 4005. I like alot of Acer new notebooks but when will they be released in the US?

ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON® X700 graphics card with up to 256 MB of dedicated memory presents breakthrough visual quality and unparalleled gaming effects

Other notable Features:

Pentium M 780 [2.26 GHz, 2MB cache]
120GB Hard Drive
512MB [No Option For 1GB, Weird] [256/256 I Assume]
Acer CrystalBrite Technology
Digital TV Tuner
Nice Remote Control

For some reason they went with a WXGA resolution display on this notebook...

where are you guys getting all this information on this lappy? im interested in the 4005 but the graphics card is its only setback...

if this thing really does have the 256 x700 its only setback is the P-M... (sorry, i want 64 bit capabilites, and im a die hard amd fan) but i could live with that for the better preformance.

But how much could 256MB VS 128MB increase the performance on a X700 GPU. Also I wonder what the clock ratings on the GPU will be set at. These are more important factors for performance. But yes I would like to have seen 256MB in the Ferrari 4005WLMi for the price, don't know how much sence it makes on a simple X700 GPU though...

I believe this is what we are all looking for =)

https://sslrelay.com/www.shopacer.co...3D252E002%3D29

Im just curious if it will pull its weight in gaming considering the 256MB ATI X700 card.

This might be it for me.
