Catalyst 5.8 was released

... and direct link to mobility driver http://www.ati.com/online/mobilecatalyst/ still works and brought me 5-8-mobile_xp_dd_ccc_enu_25207.exe

I would have to say the Omega Drivers are still a notebook gamers best friend.

Does this driver offer any real performance increases? are there any useful changes that make it worst upgrading from the 5.7s?

I looked at the release notes on ATI.com and saw no reason to download these. And WTF are you doing requesting MORE performance Mr. 16 pipes? ;-)
