Possible Overheating Problem??

Sometimes when I am playing games, they just plain freeze and I guess that is a driver problem or something. I still can't find a driver set that never freezes a game. But other times, my entire screen will fade to white and the system will become unusable? Does anyone know why this is?

Also, for my first problem, what is the most reliable driver set that you have used?

Thanks
