Guides & Manual - How to disassemble Toshiba Laptops.

Ok, guys. I need your opinion. I know that it is hard to find instructions about Toshiba laptops disassembly. I decided to create a website about it. But I'm not sure if somebody needs it. What do you think?
I just started: Toshiba laptop and notebook repair and disassembly guides with pictures.

I think it would be worthwhile to have some general info about laptops in general. For example, people who have been inside desktops expect plug connectors for ribbon cables. Laptops tend to have flat ribbon cables with plastic connections that pinch the cable in place. I have seen more than one situation where some poor guy broke the connection trying to pry the end off. People also try to replace CD or DVD drives without knowing that most Toshibas will not work with drives that are set for cable-select (which is the way replacement drives are shipped).

Thank you for your suggestion Richk. I broke a lot of connectors myself I'll think about it. I just started couple days ago.
Buy the way, I replace Toshiba optical drives almost every day, but I never had a problem with drives they send to us. I never had to configur it. Just replace the drive and it works fine.

If you get the drives from Toshiba for the particular laptop, it will work fine. If you buy a generic drive over the internet, (including the ones made by Toshiba), it is much cheaper, but it comes cable-select, which is what most manufacturers use. Most of the Toshibas need the drive to be set to master (usually by firmware), except the machines that have removable bays. Those usually need the drive to be set to slave. BTW, I believe that many of the generic drives made by toshiba drives will also function as slaves. The 2 choices for firmware are Master or either slave or CS.

You are right. I get all my drives from Toshiba under warranty. That's why I've never had a problem.
