With the XPS replacement back panel do the LEDs work in different colours, your writeup wasn't very clear on that.

the case of the xps can fit into a 9300, can it be reversed? 9300 case in a xps machine?

I know some people might say, why would you do that. I guess the look of the 9300 is a little more conservative.

Yep and if you want to buy the parts we might be able to work something out, or I could do it for you?

I was thinking about doing this to my laptop too, it's just that I have a 5 year warrantry on my laptop and the parts are replacable as today I just replaced my keyboard and my touchpad. So i guess I'll just stick with the default 9300 parts.

Can someone recommend a good Ebay person to buy the 9 cell battery from? So many to choose from, not sure who's trustworthy. Thanks.

zen313... hoctcomputer = seller that I've purchased 1 9cell and 2 130watt bricks from and they are New Original Dell parts. They work are come in original plastic bags. I'd recommend him for your Dell power needs.

p.s. Make sure you look at his entire list of auctions... as he has the same parts listed in different auctions at different prices (higher priced auctions have all the auction listing upgrades) and different shipping amounts. Look for the 9cell being around 57$ and the 130watt (PA-13 5150 XPS) brick being around 22$. Shipping on each item is under 14$.

Drizek... those parts were 114$ shipped to my door (free overnight shipping thru negotiating). The LCD rear cover is an additional 74$. So total exterior conversion runs 190$ and the interior conversion ran 550$ (7800, pinmod, 2gig ram).
