Hopefully this can be stickied........
Download NiBiTor 2.5 here: (if you are going to flash a 7800 DL the latest version of NiBiTor 2.5a, it supports your card) http://www.mvktech.net/index.php?opt...filecatid=1283 Here are my stock bios: http://rapidshare.de/files/4660632/GOODORIG.ROM.html Use my stock bios to mod and add to your BCD folder (read below to find out what BCD is). Stock clocks are 450/530 or 450/1060 in DDR Mode. When using NiBiTor don't put in the DDR value IE 1060 you have to put in 530, NiBiTor will read the DDR Value to you. Start small like 475/560 or 475/580 something like that, espically if you have not applied Arctic Silver 5. When I create ROMs then save them I just name them as 510C1280, it adds the .rom for you. Remember the name of each rom you create. Make a bunch so that you do not have to keep creating CD's. I have put Arctic Silver on my card and I am currently running 510/641 or 510/1282 in DDR. I am running a fan on top of my GPU, currently temps do not go above 80c @ 510/1282 when before at much lower clocks I was hitting 95c and throttling back (with no laptop cooler or elevation of course). Here is a pic: ![]() Good luck and remember to be careful, your're at risk here if something goes wrong. Please don't try to clock as high as me unless you know what you are doing. The Ultra needs cooling, remember that. Without the additional cooling you may get lockups/artifacts. I use ATi Tool Beta 8 to check for errors. Beta 8 supports nVIDIA cards ___________________________________________________________________ To flash your card follow these instructions, hopefully they are correct.... *if you have a 7800go want to see if nvflash supports your card Type 'nvflash -c'. This will check to see if your EEPROM is supported* DL THIS, http://rapidshare.de/files/5954877/bcd.rar.html Put all your modded roms in bcd\cds\cdromsi\files folder, create a couple roms so you don't have to waste CDs. Put a blank CD-R in the drive. Open a command prompt, and get to the BCD folder. (So put the DLed file (BCD) in in the root drive like C:\ to make it easy) Then run "bcd cdromsi" once you are in the BCD folder to build your ISO image and burn it to your CD writer. It will burn the disk in dos. How to get to the BCD folder: Quote:
Reboot, press F12 a bumch of times Select the CD drive to Boot (Just keep hitting enter when things start to load) Once you get to the R:\ Prompt type with no quotes "nvflash R:\bios_name_in_cd.rom" Press "y" to confirm Reboot once you see the R:\ again. It's recommeded that you reinstall your video drivers after every flash. Good luck. Post your benchmark scores and thoughts/improvements to this thread. Thanks, Walid.
