I have no idea if anyone else is having this problem or not, but I flashed to the XPS2 BIOS and even updated to the A05 version and my pinmod is no longer working. CPU-Z reports it as 1.8 GHz.
I am also using a 6800 Ultra and I have these screwed up blue lines and dots all over my screen when I install the driver. Before the driver is installed, it looks fine. As soon as I install the driver, I get all this shit on my screen and can't make it go away. I'm using the driver right off of Dells driver website for the XPS Gen 2. Is my video card bad or what? I'm trying to repair the OS right now, hopefully I wouldn't have to reinstall Windows for something like this. |

well I have everything I need:
6800 ultra 9 cell battery 2 130w power supplies (both Rev A02) i'm currently on A05 bios on my 9300 but have a few problems ![]() the 9300 won't recognise one of the adaptors in the bios at all when i plug it in, with the other psu it recognises it but can't determine the power, when i flash to the xps2 bios will it then recognise this second adaptor? also, the 9 cell battery won't hold a charge, it goes after a minute or two, now the bios won't recognise that the 9 cell is installed, even tho it is running off the little bit of power left in it. i take it the battery is a duffer? cheers Minty |

Flash to the XPS BIOS and then see if you are having the same problems. You have to be running the XPS BIOS to even be using the card at full clock speeds anyway.

ebay and occasionally this forum are about the only places you can find this card. Unfortunately the demand is high enough for these cards that $400-$500 is about the normal going price. They used to be around 300 back when they were still being made.
There was one on ebay a few months ago (early november iirc) that went for almost $600 US

For those of you who own a M1710 like myself or the E1705, there is a 7900 GTX on Ebay that is wondering around, I tihnk it ends in like 3 days but I'll make someone happy I'm sure.
