I want an MP3 player that is easy to use, has functional software, and good sound quality. Did I forget a good player on the list? What would you recommend? |

iPod, you can't go wrong with it. Trust me! I had a Sony NetMD, you can't go wrong with that either. Both are very easy to use. I must say, iPod seems to transfer music alot faster even though both support USB 2.0.
I'm not sure about the Sony nw-hd3 cause I never use it.

MP3 players
After MUCH research I have decided to go with a 20gb Ipod.
Sonys have REALLY nice sound, battery, and hardware, but you must use their music transfer program, which apparently is a major pain in the @$$. Creatives, to a one, all have hard disk or headphone port failures within 6 months. Ipods are the only mp3 players that I have consistently seen reviewed as "Reliable, great sound, and nice warranty" Thanks! |

ugh, did you forget about iriver? they are built tough, and come with more features per pound than ipod can ever dish out. hell, my H320, superb sound quality, and i have been enjoying pictures and videos on it for a year now, back when ipod photo *just* came out like 2 weeks after i got my iriver. the sound quality is superb to that of ipods, and feature list is 2x as long as that of an ipod. not saying you should get the H300 series, but maybe the H10 is worth checking out. BTW, the new ipods are really freaken wide. one fo my friends got it and man is it pocket unfriendly (width wise, its rather slim though), but if slim players (nano) taught us anything is that the build quality sucks a large one (screen cracks).
furthermore ipods require BS software (...er...itunes or the like). Other players. Achros and iRiver require NO SOFTWARE beyond your OS and they work on mac, windows, and linux just like that. |
