Where to buy cpu heatsink and fan for PCG-GRZ660?
Anyone have a clue where to find one. My laptop is overheating and thermal throttling all the time now and it shouldn't. I took the whole thing apart in hopes of putting some AS5 on the cpu to cool it down some. The thing is sony didn't use just thermal interface material, they used some sort of glue. I tried for about an hour to pry the cpu from the heatsink but no go. I am going to be handing down this laptop to my father but would like to buy a new cpu and heatsink and fan, but can not for the life of me find one anywhere (google). Anybody have any leads? Thanks for the help.

Hi!
I succeeded in removing the cpu from the heatsink from my sony grz 610. i used a hammer a small screwdriver to remove it ;-) just put the screwdriver where you see some glue between the heatsink and the cpu an hammer with caution... it should fall down after some hammers.. good luck chau |
