I didnt try this video due to being on a slow internet connection, but ive played other 1080p videos on my 3.2 P4 just fine. My monitor only displays at 1680x1050 though.

The 1.6GHz guys: do you actually play smoothly 1080p video or are you talking about the 720p trailer? What GPU do you have? It may help the CPU.

HI,

Funny as it is I tried playback of those videos before and my I8600 with specs in sig always stutters and I have not a clue why while a 1,6GHZ Acer notebook plays it fine.

So far I haven't found any solution why that is

You are an evil man Machina :-)

Putting salt in my open wound.

So, if I get it right, my i8600 should be able to play it fine but still it DOESN'T.

Damnit, I wish I would know why

fyi, the apple HD movies don't use overlays, so they dont use your video card. It relies entirely on cpu, so to those of you having skipping problems, try the windows media player HD moveis.

I can play 480/720/1080 dpi w/o any studders on my 8600. If I'm running something like a render then playing 1080 video, then it'll studder. Otherwise, it should be pretty playable.

Hi

@Kakarot
I am seeing you also have your card overclocked. But how did you get your Radeon 9600 Pro Turbo to 415 on core and 310 on memory that is kinda very high.
I also have the heat mod installed that was talked about some time here.
What is your 3dmark05 score or Aquamakr 3?
And what driver do you have installed?
Maybe it is a driver thing that the video mentioned above stutters or a setting.
I will send you that s a PM too

Thanks for the help

Cu
