Our admins take the best and most objective laptop reviews and index them here to create a distinct selection of quality reviews with averaged overall ratings. Many of these reviews have benchmarks attached to them which allows for users to compare their laptop's performance with others, and ultimately enables us to provide a sortable list which at a glance show the fastest laptops amongst a variety of applications (gaming, video editing, web browsing, etc...). Hey, good job with the review. I just bought mine recently, but it hasn't gotten here yet. What do you think is a safe overclock on this machine? Obviously you can push benchmark scores way up, but I don't want to fry my new system!

Thumbs up Just got mine!

Hey dude, I just got mine in. Love it so far! Mine actually outbenchmarked yours by a slight margin for some reason.. i got '03: 6248, and '05: 2783, which is weird since yours is faster.. Played some CS-Source, Doom3, and Quake 4 yesterday. The first two run maxed out.. Quake runs on high at 1280x1024 with 2xAA. Your review made me buy it, so thanks!!!

Great writeup!! This will be at the top of my list when it's time to get another lappy. Just bought 2 gig RAM so I'm hoping it won't be for awhile...but you know how the urge takes hold!!!

I wonder how much lighter (if at all) it is than my 766/a51m...

Geforce 6600

hey.. i just had a question.. i just bought the same laptop with all the same specifications.. except that my hardrive is a 60 GB 5200 rpm one.. and i got on friday.. but for some reason counter strike source and all the other games run at an fps of like 18 or 19.. and thats just horrible.. do u think i have to update my drivers from the alienware website.. or u think thers a hardware problem.. coz i havent done anything on it yet.. and i cant update the drivers till tomorrow after my support login is created.. so i just have to basic driver for the nvidia GPU.. will the driver actually make all the difference??
