Replace my Inspiron Hard drive... a step by step
... or it will be once someone tells me how.
I copied this over from the P4 Forums, cause the other wasnt getting any results. Basically what I want to know is what you need to do/buy/connect to upgrade a i9100 hard drive, but copy over the other one's data. Provide links to products if you can. Thanks so much guys! |

Purchase, take out of box, take old HD out, put new HD in, plug into laptop, install windows...
As for copying, take ur old HD and place it into an external enclosure, then pop that into a USB port and copy away, |

If you want a detailed way of physically removing the drive then you can find a break down instruction along with pictures in the FAQ portion of the Dell section. the FAQ can be located in the General OR 9300/xp2/xpsm170 portion of the dell area.
