So, you are trying to install widcomm, but the windows drivers are installed automatically?
Did you do this?

Yep, installed automatically. Then I try installing the Widcomm drivers and they install, but I can't disable bluetooth at all afterwards. There's no option to "disable bluetooth" so it's on all the time now. Grr!

What a waste of time. You can't customize the buttons on the mouse without the USB dongle. What a waste of time! From reading your first post, it gave me the impression you could customize all the buttons without the dongle. I'm going back to my regular MX1000.

You only need the dongle during the installation. After the installation you can use the Truemobile. And all the extra features will be functional.
About your problem with the drivers. Did you rename the files in the inf folder?
Also, you can disable bluetooth from the bios if you want.

I realize. When I was using the dongle I could access the extra mouse buttons no problem. As soon as I switched to use the built in BT, I lost access to customizing the mouse buttons. You keep mentioning this "Truemobile." I don't know what you're talking about. Also, I did rename the files in the INF folder, and I'm reverting back to the Dell BT drivers, since they worked just fine and I could actually disable BT when I'm not using it!

Delete it. If you are paranoid, choose to export it first (right-click> export), so you can add it back later if you need to.
Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
I can live with the toshiba drivers, but I hate the desktop icon it keeps creating. Can I just do this step by itself to remove the desktop icon and my computer icon's? Every time I boot into windows, MS Antispyware informs me the tsbtshell.dll file is installing, or loading, or something...

Edit: I can't actually find the {6af09ec9-b429-11d4-a1fb-0090960218cb} namespace, there's 4 there, but not that particular one.

Thanks.

To determine which key you need to select, click on each of the NameSpace keys to display its description in the window on the right.

Hi V.B. What should I be looking for in the descriptions?

Hrm, I'm having a problem getting the headset to work with these drivers...

There is my original post but its kind of gone off topic of the original post but all of my posts say what I have, what I've done, and now the issue I'm currently having.

For step 10, to remove the icon, what is the description for the registry key supposed to be?

OK... weirdness just happened. The keyboard of my MX5000 set had stopped working because something in the driver software went bunko. Uninstalled everything [setpoint, wildcom stack, the BT 350 module] and even disabled the built in windows stack per the ms website instructions.

Restart and windows recognizes then automatically installs its own stack for the bt350 module... no chance to select "cancel". On a whim I tried to add the mouse and keyboard using the windows interface only... low and behold they both worked! No using the Logitech dongle or software.

The MX1000 mouse works as it had before [after originally installing it per the guide], both the scroll wheel and back/forward browser buttons work. Response on the keyboard is fine, but the only advanced keys working are the touchpad volume control and "email". Hitting the "Media" key will open Winamp but the other controls [play/pause/ff/rew] do nothing.

In a bit I'll try installing the Logitech drivers on top of the windows bt stack and see if all the "special" functions will start working.

I am having a similar problem. My HS 850 was working fine with my Toshiba BT Drivers on my Dell Inspiron 9300. Now with Widcomm 5 - 802 installed I can pair and connect to the Motorola Headset HS 850, but I cant use it functionally for Voice Conference using Skype or any other app. How can I make it work?

PS: I dont have any Logitech devices so I skipped those steps. Is this Widcom 5 package completely functional.

Suggestions?

Should I go back to Dell Toshiba drivers or try the Widcom v4. Please point me to something that works for the Voice con on Dell 9300 with BT 350

BTW - Windows sound has 3 devices
- Soundcard - Sigmatel
- Bluetooth Audio
- Highqualit Bluetooth Audio

Tried all possible selections. No results.

From reading threads on other sites the slightly older [5.0.1.801] Wildcomm stack is a bit better than the newest build [5.0.1.802] when it comes to compatibility.
