I believe it is, you can turn it off if you have the Dell drivers installed by hitting Fn-F2, which cycles between turning off wireless devices and such.

Thanks for a great guide. I have finally gotten my MX900BT working with setpoint drivers working on a dell 9300 with internal BT350. I spent alot of time tring to get these to work and it wasn't until I used setpoint 1.02 that it worked. My mouse shipped with setpoint 1.05a on CD and this, for some reason wouldn't work. Newer versions of setpoint wouldn't load fully as there was a touchpad installed.
The mouse does seem alot faster and smoother with this setup compared to the toshiba stack and generic drivers. For those wanting to turn BT off you can do this by right clicking the BT tray icon, select advanced config, then hardware tab, select your BT device and click disable. Re-enable by doing the same except click set preferred. Fn-F2 will still disable the BT but also wireless if you have it installed. Hope this helps. |

I have a Logitech DiNovo Media Desktop Laser that I've connected to my internal BT350 module in my XPS Gen2. It would be a wicked bit of gear except that my PC periodically BSODs whenever I send/receive email in Outlook. I've tried Widcomm 5.0.1.801, 5.0.1.802 with no change, and upgraded the firmware in the bluetooth module all to no avail. Removing Setpoint seems to fix the problem so I believe it may be caused by some logitech hook attempting to update the display on the mediapad to notify of new mail.
Has anyone here experienced this, or have any bright ideas on how to fix the problem (not using outlook isn't a fix )? |

i hate to put this here but i think it belongs here. if anyone has a windows mobile 5.0 device then this will be helpful. if you want to create a partnership you need to open activesync on your desktop/lappy go to file, then connection settings, check box for allow connetions to one of the following, then choose com port 7. partnership should create successfully.

Has anybody else experienced the bluetooth icon not showing up on the tray? This has happened to me the last 2 times I have booted my laptop but if I kill TOSBTMNG.EXE and restart the Bluetooth manager it shows up in the tray.
Ideas?

Excellent Guide!!!!! I put in the 350 module and it loaded with microsoft drivers. It was a pain in the rear to use it for anything with those drivers so I went to install the toshiba stack and it locked up on install during every attempt. After that my bt didnt work. I followed this guide and not only did it recover operation but the use of bt is very easy now and has more functions. I use it to connect to my hacked Motorola Razr VC3. File transfer and EVDO cellular broadband are flawless.

To the OP:
Logitech has released a new version of the SetPoint software, version 2.60 build 601. What's special about this version is that includes the Widcomm Stack 5.0.1.2500 and also a new firmware for the Logitech dongle (don't know version yet, still downloading). Any chances of getting a "service pack" for this new version? Thank you for the guide. Quite useful indeed. Edit 1: Didn't see any DFU screen during the update process, and in my usual idiocy I didn't take note of the firmware version before the update. After everything installed it shows: Manufacturer: Broadcom Corporation Firmware Revision: 2.1.85.0 HCI Version: Bluetooth HCI 2.0 HCI Revision: 2000 LMP Version: Bluetooth LMP 2.0 LMP Sub Version: 4155 Edit 2: Nvm about the "service pack", I've been lazy and I haven't checked the relevant sources for a long long time. I will leave the (possible) updating of the thread to you ![]() Last edited by MrToad; 05-03-2006 at 02:13 PM. |

Need help on 2 items!
Hats off to Karoloydi, I'm a bit late to this thread but I need some help on 2 items: (1) I don't see dfu.exe inside the dfu directory. Where else can it be?
(2) Is anybody using the Apple Wireless keyboard and how did you get to successfully pair?

I just tried connecting my Sony Ericcson z2520a phone to my laptop with a 350 Mobile using the Toshiba drivers and the laptop would only see the phone as a modem and not as a bluetooth device. This kept the Sony Ericsson software from seeing the phone so that I could sync my laptop up with it. Any ideas on how to get the Toshiba drivers to properly see the phone?
