Anyone try to connect Bluetooth Headphones (not a headset) to their Laptop? I can find it and pair it fine. (well i finds BT-Headset if that's correct) But I can't connect. I'm using the latest Dell firmware and the stack as described in post #3...

The Bluetooth adapter for the i9300 is the TM350. Pick up the telephone and call Dell Spare Parts (they don't have a website), and give them the i9300's Service Tag #.

The newest setpoint 2.60 + widcomm 5.0.1.2500 can recognize my mx 900 without logitech hub. Most important, my wish came true, setpoint allow to customize button assignments without using bulky hub. Yehaaa !!!

Step by step:
1) Download setpoint 2.6 (included widcomm) at logitech site.
2) (Optional) Remove previous setpoint, widcomm. Restart.
3) Run installer. Don't press "Finish" button.
4) Explorer into "c:\documents and settings\administrator\Local settings\Temp" (i use "administrator" username, replace that username by yours). Search for a directory contains 3 subdirs: khal, Redist, Widcomm.
5) Copy Widcomm folder to another location. Now you can press "Finish". I think no need to restart.
6) Install widcomm.
7) Use the attachment program "license patcher" to generate a license.dat and a license.reg file. Select "TM350" in the drop down box. Press patch. It will put those files in the same folder.
8) Copy license.dat to "program files\widcomm\...", to whatever folders that contains bttray.exe
9) Import license.reg to registry, it will remove the "trial period" nag screen.
10) Execute bttray.exe. Right click on bluetooth icon, Start.
11) Restart. Done.
12) Now setpoint allow you to customize buttons. In other to specify functions for each application, please download uberoption here. Install it, then a miracle come true

The attached file: "patcher 1.7" is downloaded from gsmhosting forum. This thread.

File Type: zip License Patcher 1.7 for 5.0.1.2500.zip (214.4 KB, 374 views)

does this work 100% on restart? i mean, does setpoint recognize the bt mouse with the dell 350 bt module without having to plug in the logitech dongle and removing it upon restart?

edit: followed dual-athlon's steps and my 350 is now using widcomm's drivers and it's all good. thanks.

That's a good question, I'd like an answer too if anyone has managed to make it work. The forums at MobilePlanet don't make it sound promising.

I have a 9300 with the Toshiba stack latest an ht820 and h500 and ipaq 1945 and cingular 2125. All work and a2dp also works. I also have MSKeyboard and mouse works. 2125 is a piece of junk and I would advise against it, the rest are great. Love the bluetooth deskset and the headphones are nice too they can flip the songs on the notebook while I am banging away at my desktop. Plus the phone will interrupt the music but the bluetooth stack in Mobile 5 seems like junk almost don't work.

I just got my 9400 few days ago. I bought a logitech v270 to use with the bluetooth. I installed the drivers from the dell website, flashed the bluetooth module, and I have never lost synch once and the mouse behave very well. I tried to install the logitech software (out of curiosity :P ) but it complained that a a required stack was missing.

Basicaly. for my needs at this time, default drivers perform 100% as they should.

I think it is hit or miss depending on what headset you have
