Overclocking the 7800
Hm...If I buy a 9-cell battery and a 130W powersupply from Dell, can I overclock the 7800 even more, so it can match a GTX?
Also does the I9400 have a temp. censor? |

Using the 9-cell and 130W psu will not make a difference, except for the extra battery life from the 9-cell. You would need a bios to step up any extra power to the video card.

Can I do that by flashing the BIOS?
I want a geforce 7800 Go card at the same level as a 7800 go GTX card... ![]() |

Don't understand it. The system is just out. And for now, the 7800 Go will be sufficiant for most, or maybe all games.
Why already upgrade. Be patient, and within one or two years, there is a nice mod available, tested and prooved. Then you upgrade. |

I believe it would. Even my I8600 has CPU+GPU+RAM+HDD temperature sensors. [Please make *sure* you spell sensor correctly - "censor" has a completely different meaning as opposed to "sensor".]
If you really want to confirm the presence of CPU+GPU+RAM+HDD temperature sensors within the I9400, get someone who has recently bought an I9400 [and delivered] to run I8kfanGUI or whatever the equivalent program is called. Cheers. |

Seems possible, wait until we all get our hands on it and we will "explore" the 9400 and mod it to where is easy and safe!!
