I just did a fresh install of Windows x64 onto my eMachines M6811 notebook and all of the drivers went in smoothly except one. The VIA 4in1 drivers for some reason wont install properly. I've tried the one from eMachines (VIA_Hyperion%204in1_v456v.zip), and every x64 hyperion variety from viaarena.com. No matter which I try the "PCI Simple Communications Controller" listed in my device manager doesn't install.
I have tried using the 00F07P00 bios and the 00F08P00- neither make a difference in this case. Any Ideas? -gost~ BTW i should note that my release of x64 included support for the broadcomm wi-fi which is working flawlessly (as far as its capable...) |
