Well then I was lucky because it has great color separation and has accuracy across the entire spectrum (colors, grays, and blacks). Thanks again.

Well, I gave it a try, but I don't like the way it changed my screen. It is far too dark, and lots of detail gets lost when I use your settings. I have a desktop wallpaper with lots of fine detail and skin tones, and it doesn't look nearly as good when I use your profile. Whispy bits of hair disappear and the background colors lose a lot of detail and gain a lot of shadow. Flesh tones look too grey and washed out as well. Guess I'll have to use my own settings and live with it. Thanks anyway...

I like it! The blue's look a lot better. It is a lot darker than what i'm used to, but the colors definately look better.

Go into your Nvidia laptop display and load the icc file into the color profile under the color correction tab. I like it quite a bit!

You got to play with it but once you get it to load the icc as the default ( I did something novel. I read the MS Readme file ) it works like a charm.

You don't access this through normal display settings.

You should have a new icon in control panel :- Color

Run this then select profile - install

Dougie.

Checked in my control pannel and there's no color icons.

When i downloaded the version the installer was in french since i live in quebec, but my laptop's all in english, maybe there's a conflict? Gonna tweak my regional settings and try again.

edit- yep, that was the problem, regional setting was set to french canada and it downloaded a file called WGAplugininstall.exe, while in english US it downloaded Wincolor setup and i now have the icon, weird but it works.

Colors are pretty accurate, as is the brightness contrast, but i still found it didnt help with the light leakage @ the bottom so i turned down nvidia's gamma a tad down and now its a about perfect, without affecting the reference calibration image too much.

Thanks btw
