Audio problem
During playback of audio or video my 8790 get "hickups", sound makes a short halt now and then. Is this a faulty driver issue?

MIght be. Now if the "Hiccups" are really interference from other electronics - Than, sad to say, that happens on the 8790. Might try turing off the IR and see if that helps.

There are some disturbancies in the background, some noisies. Have tried various mediaplayers. Have also used my professional Digigram Soundcard (PC Card format) with just the same "hiccups" but without the background noisies. Shortly after starting playback, there is a short disturbance. It comes with certain intervals. The cpu activity during these "hiccups" goes up from 3-5% to about 25%. So far this is the only real problem with this computer. A smaller problem is the rather primitiv fan regulation...

RF "Bleed" from one componet to the next is probably what you are experiencing. Something that is inherant with the 8790's.
