i am having audio problems with quickplay.
i'm trying to install on vista (hp pavillion dv2000) and quickplay for windows 2.3 and direct wont play any sound on dvd's and crashes if i try to play mp3's

also, when i run the installation, i get an error when quickplay is installing drivers for my audio device.

i tried to reinstall xp compatble audio drivers (CONEXANT HD AUDIO) and the problem still occured.

please help!

I fresh install Winxp professional and now i am try to install the Quickplay direct.

i mad sure that i have an UNALLOCATED DISK SPACE of 1.5gb

Followed the instructions that i can read from this thread but i am stuck after intalling the QP2.3

In windows when you hit quickplay, it goes to Windows media player But when you click start programs and HP quickplay it performs flawlessly. What gives?????

Now i am trying to install the HPQPDP and everytime i hit setup i run into a snag saying "Quickplay can only be installed in a quickplay-enabled machine" i dont know how i can go further. I also tried naming the partition X without formatting but same problem.....

I read somewhere about changing registry but i couldnt find it.... Can somebody here redirect me to the right path. My whole is dedicated to this already and i cant get it to work.

I think your first problem about going to WMP is a Quicklaunch button driver, assuming that u mean pressing the QP QLB when you say 'hit quikcplay.' The other issue needs research, at least from me it does.

i did install the QLB driver.

V3000 is capable of quickplay as it has the quickplay button similar to that of the DV2000 hp. the QP windows is actually functional i just have to execute it.

i just cant get the HPQPDP to install quickplay direct. keeps giving me the "quickplay can only be installed in quickplay-enabled machines".

i am stuck at this point.

i think i have the same problem.. is it because my laptop spec doesnt support QPDP?

I unfortunately cannot vouch for its compatibility with your v3000.

A few v3000s are listed on HP's site as having BIOS updates available, with new ones as recent as last month. Is your BIOS up to date?

I keep getting an error while running the quickplay direct when trying to install Conexant High Definition Audio. Does anyone know how i can get around this problem. I already tried installing different driver versions from hp, none seem to work

does anyone have anything close to a dv2000 and can run quickplay direct or does anyone have a simmilar audio device on their laptop?

this is a known issue for Quickplay. As of right now, the 4 people that I have helped with HD audio have NOT got it to run correctly. I hear anything, I'll post it here. user001

is there any way to get a non hd driver working on this system?

sam, what driver are u using? The one on the hp website, the windows update, or HP update driver? Vista or XP? I have a dv2120us running vista, and I got the same problem, which is now solved.

i tried the windows update one, the one that came with my laptop, and the xp version on the hp website.

Which one did u get to work? and do u have the conexant hd audio card
