You are browsing within the review sections of our forums. Content within these sections reflect consumer opinions of laptops. Our admins take the best and most objective laptop reviews and index them here to create a distinct selection of quality reviews with averaged overall ratings. Many of these reviews have benchmarks attached to them which allows for users to compare their laptop's performance with others, and ultimately enables us to provide a sortable list which at a glance show the fastest laptops amongst a variety of applications (gaming, video editing, web browsing, etc...). Help us build a better laptop database by submitting your laptop review.

Also, I don't know if Toshiba Storage manufactures a 5400rpm 160GB drive or Toshiba has contracts with anybody that does. Besides, the performance should be pretty high due to the high density of the drive so it shouldn't be THAT big of a deal. Besides,HDD's are all too easy to swap out so you could just wait until a 7200 rpm drive comes along and swap it for that then.
yeah u probably right.. but i dont belive an 7200 hardrive in this configuration will increase that much, dell m170 was like $1700 with gtx and 7200 hd.
anyway.. u are right thats easy to swap.. thinking!!

If the notebook has not been QA-ed for 7200RPM HDD
then you might overheat some components.Has any one tried it yet.?

regarging the p105-s921

in Poland there is P100 typology with p100-221 being the top of the line (t2500 core duo, media center xp, 7900gs and 5400rpm 120gb drive). As far as my research will have the same body as Yours p105 -> that is why i want to ask --> are the speakers enough loud and clear to listen to music and movies at home and what about the placing of the speakers are they beeing blocked by wrists while working on this laptop ?

Yes, the speakers are loud enough and clarity is excellent, but you will have it blocked by your wrist on one side IF you use a mouse on your laptop, on the side of it where there is flat space (which is what I do).

Touchpad only should have no problems.

You are right Fidget.... "generally" (I heard other models) but maybe the BIG exception are mine , Toshiba A60...smallest sound ever and the volume knob allways get dirty... Otherwise, my notebook is a great workhorse, very reliable

Just picked up my P105-S921 from Micro Center and so far I'm loving it. Thanks for you input Troy! I'll take some photos later and add MHO review too. However, it will be short because what Troy stated is right on the money! The real test for me is when I load up my flight sim.

I am glad to hear it! (That you be taking photos... lol!) I'll eventually get to it too.. sorry I've been slow on that part of the review. But I do think it looks better in person, so pics "wouldn't do it justice".

For great justice!!!
